Real Fabrica de Tabacos Partagás

One of Havana's oldest and most famous cigar factories, the landmark neoclassical Real Fábrica de Tabacos Partagás was founded in 1845 by Spaniard Jaime Partagás.

The factory is being renovated but was due to reopen in April 2013 (all photos were taken in december 2014 and how is factory renovated you can see :)).

Today some 400 workers toil for up to 12 hours a day in here rolling such famous cigars as Montecristos and Cohibas in temporary location (maybe for all times) on the corner of Calles San Carlos and Penalver in Centro Habana.  In this location you can visit fabric and see workers how make a cigars. Unfortunately photo and video taken is not allowed.
