Ho Chi minh city museum
(Vietnamese language: Viện bảo tàng Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) the construction of the museum started in 1885 and was completed in 1890 under the design of French architect Alfred Foulhoux.
At first, the building, was built for a commercial museum, when was completed, it becam theCochinchina governosr's palace.
AfterAugust revolution, ), also called the August General Uprising, (august 25 1945), it was the provisional administrative commitee headquarters. Since september 1945 it was used for thre French high Commisssioner.
On the august 1978, the people's comitee of Ho Chi Minh City launched desion to use the building asrevolution museum.
